From January to June 2022, a total of 1.628 million tons of domestic polyester filaments were exported, a slight decrease of 0.3% year-on-year. Among them, the export in the first quarter was 781,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 13.5% due to the high base last year; the export in the second quarter was 847,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%, mainly due to the explosive growth of exports from May to June.

Recycled polyester fiber, also known as recycled polyester fiber, is prepared from waste polyester bottles, pieces, polyester clothes and other polyester products through recycling processing, so it can effectively save oil resources.

The production process of recycled polyester does not rely on oil as a raw material. Recycled polyester or "rPET" is made by collecting PET (usually in the form of used plastic bottles) and sorting, washing and breaking down the material to spin it into yarn. Mechanically or chemically manufactured yarns can accommodate performance technologies including moisture wicking and temperature regulation. In mechanical recycling, plastic bottles are washed, chopped into flakes and sorted by color, then melted into chips, which are then converted into fibers through a process of extrusion and deformation. Chemical recycling refers to the use of a range of chemicals to clean and break PET before spinning yarn from the resulting material.
